Minnie Rock the Dots- #minniestyle Art Show 1/23

Minnie Mouse is a style icon all her own! Her collection of dots is so grand that Yayoi Kusama would be jealous. This one night art exhibit showcased the influences that Minnie Mouse has had on the fashion industry and pop culture; from Marc Jacobs flats kitting the beloved mouse, to a dress embellished in bows by Indian designer Satya Paul. A "Minnie" Mouse and a grandeur style can go a long way!

The gallery began with the early stages of an icon, Minnie Mouse. The attendees were all dressed in dots to mach the theme. The gallery really shows how this animated character and leading lady has influenced so many facets of pop culture. In doors you get the full effect of dots on dots on dots, and bows on bows on bows! L7 by B6 FIRST SOLO SHOW

Brittney Scott Enjoying an apple

First Id like to say thank you to Brittney Scott and Chelsea of LeiminSpace for bringing us such an amazing show! Brittney Scotts neon portraits of her friends were one hell of a display. Each one had a different personality to match the characters that attended the event. I was able to sit down with Brittney and digest her thoughts on her process. She is a rad chick that works hard, and I quote:

I didn't get any sleep!!
When asked about the process: her neon displays are all hand crafted by herself, and each one represents a good friend. An unapologetic twitter handle is displayed at each portrait of the person Ms. Scott was representing at the time.  The synchronization of physical world and digital life transcends through this solo show.

The L7 exhibition will be up until February 11th at leiminspace by appointment only
Visit www.leiminspace.com to schedule your appointment.
